Overlake Debuts Organic Menu at Stanza’s Cafe

Bellevue, WA (Aug. 25, 2010) – Overlake Hospital Medical Center is reopening its onsite Stanza’s Café with an all-new menu focused on organic, freshly prepared foods and beverages. Along with the new menu debut this week, Overlake is offering a host of sampling opportunities and entertainment for its campus-based clientele.

Located just inside the Main Lobby entrance of the hospital, Stanza’s new menu will feature:

  • fresh juice bar
  • organic produce
  • daily breakfast specials, hot quinoa, steel-cut oats
  • daily sandwiches/salads
  • natural/organic proteins in featured entrée items
  • flat-bread pizzas
  • sushi selections
  • Cucina Fresca natural pastas
  • locally made desserts
  • Theo's Chocolates
  • organic/natural bottled beverages
  • 100% organic milk
  • organic condiments

On Wednesday, August 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., New Age Flamenco will provide entertainment and Theo’s Chocolates will offer dark chocolate samples and on Thursday, Aug. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., representatives from Cucina Fresca Pasta will offer samples to taste.

Over the last several years, Overlake’s Hospitality Department has established itself as a leader in providing healthy, high-quality food service for patients, visitors and staff. The hospital has also made a commitment to ‘greening’ the organization with expanded recycling programs along with significant waste reduction efforts and composting.
