Neurosurgeon Joins Overlake's Medical Staff
Bellevue, Wash. – Overlake Medical Center welcomes Dr. Abhineet Chowdhary, Neurosurgeon, to its medical staff. Dr. Chowdhary will serve as the Neurosurgery Program Director.
Dr. Chowdhary attended Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health in Columbus, Ohio. He completed both his internship and residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, which has one of the top training programs in the country. Dr. Chowdhary then wanted to subspecialize in minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of complex neurovascular problems. He completed his fellowship in diagnostic neuroradiology and interventional neuroradiology/endovascular neurosurgery at Cedars-Sinai Department of Neurosurgery in Los Angeles, California.
“We are excited to have Dr. Chowdhary on board and to be the first and only hospital to offer the Eastside community access to this level of advanced neurointerventional care,” said David Schultz, Overlake’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Dr. Chowdhary’s medical interests include open neurovascular and endovascular neurosurgery, neurooncology, cervical spine and lumbar spine. He also speaks three languages, including Hindi and Punjabi. Dr. Chowdhary grew up in the Midwest and says he uses the “Midwestern” mentality of care and compassion in his day-to-day practice.
