Bellevue, Wash. — Concerned about your health? Worried your blood pressure and cholesterol might be too high? Get answers to these important health questions and receive free cholesterol, blood pressure and diabetes health screenings this September during Overlake’s first ever Eastside Vitality Health Month.
There will be Community Health Fairs held throughout September from 9 a.m. to noon on: Saturday, Sept. 15 at Overlake Medical Clinics Kirkland; Saturday, Sept. 22 at Overlake Medical Clinics Redmond; and Saturday Sept. 29 at Overlake Medical Center Main Campus in Bellevue.
“With kids going back to school and the holiday season quickly approaching, now is the time to focus on your health and make wellness a priority,” said Craig Hendrickson, Overlake’s president and CEO. “By offering important health screenings in the communities in which we work, we hope to provide people with the knowledge and awareness to prevent serious health conditions before they occur. We are committed to serving our community in the best way possible and we feel that the Eastside Vitality Health Month enables us to do just that.”
In addition, Eastside Vitality Health Month will serve as an opportunity for members of the community to familiarize themselves with the different Overlake Medical Clinics Primary Care Physicians and Cardiologists working at their local clinics. The final clinic, at the main Bellevue campus, will feature additional vascular screenings, carotid ultrasounds, abdominal aortic aneurysm ultrasounds, osteoporosis screenings, bone density screenings, target heart rate readings and body mass index readings. There will also be Overlake surgeons on hand to demonstrate the da Vinci® Surgical System and nutritionists available to discuss diabetes and tips to eating healthy. In addition there will be tours of the Cancer Center and the Childbirth Center.
