Patient Financial Services
Overview
Patient Financial Services is comprised of the following positions:

Patient Account Representative—Responsible for following up on balances from insurance companies, Medicare/Medicaid and patients. They also work claim edits, process correspondence and send paper claims, in addition to answering inquiry calls from patient, insurances and other providers.

Cash Poster—This position posts payments from insurance companies and patients.

Patient Financial Services Representative/Support—The duties of this position are varied and include distributing mail, scanning documents, processing attorney requests, correcting charges for departments and client billing.

Electronic Biller—This position edits and sends electronic claims.

Patient Account Float—This position covers all positions above on an as-needed basis.
Staff Details

The department is a mix of newer employees and others who have been at Overlake for 30 years who share a commitment to Overlake and doing our best work.
Our department is very fun-loving. We celebrate each person’s birthday with cake and have a number of other celebrations throughout the year.
Work Hours/Shifts
Since we are a Business Office with incoming phone lines, our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. That being said, we do offer a bit of flexibility depending on the position. Some staff choose to work four, 10 hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
