Along with aging and other factors, being pregnant and having babies can weaken the pelvic floor muscles, which play an important role in controlling the bladder and bowel and enhancing sexual function. In this interactive program, Sagira Vora, PT, MPT, WCS, PRPC, board certified women’s health physical therapist will teach new and expectant moms concrete tools and specific exercises to stay fit and healthy during pregnancy and post-partum. Learn how to avoid or lessen common pregnancy related musculoskeletal problems, safety guidelines for exercise and ways to retrain and strengthen your pelvic floor muscles.
Time will be allowed to practice techniques. Please come dressed to participate in floor exercises and bring a water bottle.
