Philanthropy ensures that Overlake has the resources to continuously upgrade equipment and enhance programs and services so that we can provide the very latest technology and compassionate care.
Overlake’s board and staff leadership ensure that every donated dollar is wisely used. Philanthropy strengthens Overlake’s overall ability to provide Medical excellence every day™. Designated gifts may support specific programs such as our Cardiac or Cancer Centers of Excellence. Donations to Charity Care help ensure no one is turned away due to lack of financial resources.
How does Overlake use charitable gifts?
Charitable giving strengthens Overlake’s ability to provide Medical excellence every day™. Your contributions provide critical support for:
- Essential programs and services as well as the extras that enable us to provide exceptional care to patients and their families.
- Capital improvements to ensure that Overlake can always provide state-of-the-art facilities and the latest medical technology.
- Training and support for our staff to ensure that every patient receives expert, compassionate care.
- Charity Care so that no person, regardless of their ability to pay, is ever turned away.
What types of gifts may I give?
Overlake Hospital Foundation welcomes gifts made via checks, credit cards, stocks, appreciated assets, real estate and estate plans. Charitable gifts may be paid immediately or pledged over a specified time period. How may I include Overlake in my will?
Estate gifts are very meaningful and much appreciated. Foundation staff members will work with you and your advisors to determine how best to accomplish your philanthropic goals. We hope you will tell us when you have named Overlake Hospital Foundation in your will as we would like to thank you for your generosity and recognize you with membership in the Benefactors Society. Are the Overlake Hospital Foundation and Auxiliaries licensed nonprofit organizations?
The Overlake Hospital Foundation and Auxiliaries are both licensed by the State of Washington as 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. For tax purposes this means that your gifts are tax-deductible, as allowed by current laws. Please call the Foundation at 425-688-5525 if you need additional information, or contact your tax advisors.

What are the Auxiliaries and how can I join an Auxiliary?
Auxiliary members are invaluable volunteers who work to support vital programs and services at Overlake. Our eight Auxiliaries host a variety of special events throughout the year to raise funds for Overlake. New members are always welcome! Please e-mail the Auxiliaries or call 425-688-5529 to learn how you can invest your time, talent and resources at Overlake.
How can I attend a Foundation or Auxiliary event?
Overlake’s two signature events are the Bandage Ball and the Corporate Partners Breakfast. We welcome your attendance at either, or both events! How is Overlake Hospital Foundation related to Overlake Hospital Medical Center?
Overlake Hospital Foundation solicits donations in the name of and for the sole benefit of Overlake Hospital Medical Center. Overlake Hospital Foundation is a registered charitable organization located in Bellevue, Washington. A notice of solicitation is on file with the Washington Secretary of State’s Office of Charitable Solicitations and Trusts. Financial disclosure information may be obtained by calling 1-800-332-GIVE.
