Auxiliaries
The Overlake Hospital Auxiliaries began in the 1950s when a small group of neighborhood fundraisers set their sights on building the Eastside’s first hospital. Today, there are eight Auxiliaries with more than 150 members who show their support for Overlake through fundraising events and activities. Auxiliary members are invaluable volunteers with a mission to support medical excellence at Overlake Hospital Medical Center through community engagement and fundraising.

Bandage Ball 2010 Fine Wine Procurement Party
Thursday, January 28, 6 p.m. at Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar, 205 108th Ave. NE, Bellevue. Enjoy a festive evening of wine tasting and music at one of Bellevue's premiere restaurants. Admission to the event is a bottle of fine wine per person (suggested minimum value of $50), which will be auctioned at the 23rd annual Bandage Ball on April 24, 2010. If you prefer, you may contribute $50 at the event and Overlake Hospital Auxiliaries will purchase wine on your behalf.

Bandage Ball
Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue.
The year 2010 marks an historic event in the life of Overlake Hospital Medical Center and the Eastside community: Overlake’s 50th anniversary. Bandage Ball 2010 will play a very special part in celebrating the first 50 years by honoring the people and events that have made Overlake the region’s premier hospital. It will also help launch a new era for Overlake, as it reaches out to our community more than ever before.
The Auxiliaries have set ambitious attendance and fundraising goals - the target is 1,000 guests and $1,000,000 raised to support world-class patient care at Overlake Hospital Medical Center. Tickets are $250 per person
Patty Edwards and Ozzie Traff, our dynamic duo, have once again stepped forward to co-chair our gala event and Kemper and Betty Freeman have graciously agreed to be our honorary co-chairs.

Join Us
We invite you to make a special contribution to our community by joining an Overlake Hospital Auxiliary. Each of the eight Auxiliaries raises funds for specific hospital programs so you can direct your support to programs that are important to you:
Auxilians work together to supplement Cancer Center services including educational, emotional, and psychological support for the patients and their families who are living with cancer.
In 1985, a group of friends founded this Auxiliary to honor one of the first Overlake Hospital administrators. Each year Eastside residents look forward to the Auxiliary’s annual candy sale in December. The delicious chocolate covered toffee sale raises funds for various hospital departments.
Elsie Barker Cancer Care Auxiliary
This Auxiliary’s mission is to strengthen those living with cancer by funding programs and equipment for the Cancer Center at Overlake.
Volunteers help visitors bring joy to hospitalized loved ones by staffing the Gift Gallery. Proceeds from the shop, which sells flowers, balloons, cuddly stuffed animals and beautiful gifts, are given back to the hospital to fund emergent capital needs.
Jill Wikstrom's Dreamcatchers Auxiliary
The Dreamcatchers are a group of nurses and staff from various hospital departments who grant dreams and wishes to Overlake employees in unique circumstances. By joining this Auxiliary, you too can help make dreams come true
Roger Stark Cardiac/Stroke Auxiliary
Our mission to support the needs of Overlake’s cardiac and stroke patients comes straight from the heart. We support patients and help fund services through our fundraising activities. Join us in lending a hand for healthy hearts!
Sonja Potter Senior Care Auxiliary
We come together to support Overlake’s Senior Care program through community awareness and fundraising programs and services.
Specialty School Auxiliary
In collaboration with Specialty School staff, Auxilians raise funds to support the emotional, psychological and educational needs of at-risk youth in our community.
