How You Can Help
Each and every gift to Overlake Hospital Foundation is significant, meaningful and appreciated. Your donations help our nurses, staff and physicians provide the highest quality care in state-of-the-art facilities. Because of generous community support, Overlake provides Medical excellence every day™, when you or a loved one needs us most.
All gifts to Overlake Hospital Foundation are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Gifts may be made in memory of a friend or loved one, in honor of someone special or to recognize a special event. We will be glad to send a special acknowledgement to the person you designate. You may also direct your support to programs that are important to you.
The best way to give depends entirely on each individual. The options are listed below.
Gifts by Check or Credit Card
Gifts may be made all at once or pledged over a period of time. A one-time gift may be made by writing a check to the Overlake Hospital Foundation and mailing it to the Foundation or by charging the donation on a credit card such as VISA, American Express or MasterCard. Make an Online Gift.
Giving Partners
Many employers match charitable contributions made by their employees, often doubling the impact of the gift. When making a gift to Overlake, check with your employer to learn whether a matching gift may be available. If your employer participates in the United Way workplace giving program or has its own Employee Giving Program, you may designate your gift to Overlake.
Gifts of Appreciated Assets
Gifts of appreciated assets provide tax benefits for some donors and may include stocks, bonds, mutual funds or real estate that the donor has held for more than a year. To learn how to donate appreciated assets, please contact Planned Giving at the Overlake Hospital Foundation.
Planned Gifts
By making a planned gift to Overlake, you may be able to enjoy tax benefits, avoid capital gains, and provide regular income for yourself or a loved one while supporting Overlake's five-star patient care. The Foundation works with planned giving experts to maximize donor benefits while allowing the donor to support hospital programs that are important to them. To learn more about making a planned gift, please contact Planned Giving at the Overlake Foundation.
Bequests
Bequests allow donors to leave a legacy gift to Overlake while retaining full control of their assets during their lifetime. Donors may leave a specific dollar amount or a percentage of their estate to Overlake. Foundation Planned Giving staff will work with you and your attorney to ensure that your plan fully reflects your wishes.
