Directing Your Support
Personal choice is important to everyone, especially when deciding how to direct charitable contributions to programs that are important to you. Donor intent is important to us, and we work with you to ensure that your gift is directed appropriately. We have listed just a few of the options below. For more information on directing your support, please contact the Foundation by e-mail or call 425-688-5525.
Where the Need is the Greatest
Unrestricted giving provides Overlake with funding that enables the hospital to provide exceptional quality and compassionate care to every life we touch. Unrestricted contributions allow the hospital to respond quickly to ensure that the Eastside continues to have the most up-to-date healthcare technology and compassionate care that makes Overlake unique. Charity Care
No man, woman or child should ever go without healthcare simply because they are unable to pay for it. But delivering quality healthcare to all, while remaining financially strong, is a serious challenge – especially in these economic times. Thanks in part to our generous and compassionate donors, over the last three years Overlake provided over $16 million in charity care. The need will grow every year and we are grateful for the community’s response to our neighbors in need. Give to Charity Care.
The Cancer Center
Cancer is a leading cause of death in the U.S., but now more than ever, emerging diagnostic and treatment options bring new hope as patients and their families learn about and manage this disease. Accredited by the American College of Surgeons since 1974, the Cancer Center at Overlake combines excellent clinical care with a nurturing patient experience. Compassionate care that focuses on “whole-person health” is fundamental to healing and central to our mission and care-giving practices. Donate now to the Cancer Center.
The Cardiac Center
Overlake offers one of the most comprehensive and widely respected cardiac care programs in Washington state. In 2006, the Cardiac Center at Overlake was ranked as one of the nation’s Top 100 Hospitals for Cardiovascular Care by Thomson Reuters. In 2007, Overlake was named a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care by Premera Blue Cross. Donate now to the Cardiac Center.

Because of the growth of the region and Overlake’s reputation for medical excellence, we expect demand for surgical services to increase dramatically over the next five years. Women's and Infants' Center
Overlake provides a full range of services to meet women’s unique healthcare needs, including a Women’s Clinic, a Breast Health Center and family education classes.
For 40 years, Overlake has welcomed new babies into the world, and for the last decade, we’ve delivered over 4,000 newborns each year! That kind of experience, coupled with our commitment to patient-focused quality care, has placed Overlake in the top five percent of hospitals nationwide for maternity care.
The vast majority of our newborns arrive healthy, but when a medically fragile infant needs special care, Overlake’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is only steps away. Equipped with critical life-saving technology and specially trained staff, the NICU provides intensive care with a compassionate touch. Donate now to the Women's and Infants' Center. Your donation will go to capital funding for Childbirth Center renovations.
Emergency & Trauma Center
Emergencies happen with no warning, and when they do, the Emergency & Trauma Center provides comprehensive, compassionate care when you need it most. In fact, Overlake operates the only Level III trauma center on the Eastside. This state-of-the-art facility enables us to provide care to over 50,000 people each year.
While our equipment is top-notch by today’s medical standards, technology changes quickly and Overlake continuously plans for future needs. By supporting the Emergency & Trauma Center at Overlake, you help to ensure that, when you and your family need emergency care, you will receive the most technologically advanced yet compassionate care possible. Donate now to the Emergency & Trauma Center.
Senior Care
For over 20 years, Overlake Senior Care has provided unparalleled services that close the gap in the safety net for seniors. In 2006, this multifaceted program received the Washington State Hospital Association’s Health Leadership Award for promoting the health and independence of older adults. Overlake Senior Care allows older adults to live healthier, happier, more independent lives. Donate now to Senior Care.
