Dr. Sauvage and Catherine, his wife of 20 years, have two daughters and reside on Mercer Island.

Dr. Sauvage is a member of the King County Medical Society, Washington State Medical Association, American Geriatrics Society, American Medical Directors Association and the American College of Physicians. He served as president of the Washington Geriatric Society for three years in the mid 1990s.
