Breast Cancer Interdisciplinary Conference
Every week at Overlake, physicians (including surgeons, medical oncologists, pathologists, breast radiologists, plastic surgeons and radiation oncologists) meet with nurses, technologists and social workers/patient navigators for the inter-disciplinary breast conference. At the meeting all newly diagnosed breast cancer cases are reviewed and discussed in order to share ideas, review best practices and collaborate to determine the best treatment options for each patient.
Clinical Case Conference
Physicians (including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, plastic surgeons and other specialists), nurses, oncology social workers/patient navigators and other support staff meet weekly to review newly diagnosed cancer patient cases and determine the best treatment options for each patient.
Genitourinary (GU) Cancer Case Conference
An interdisciplinary team of physicians and staff meet monthly to review newly diagnosed GU cancer cases to share ides, review best practices and collaborate to determine the best treatment options for each patient.
Lung Cancer Interdisciplinary Conference
Twice a month, Overlake holds an interdisciplinary conference specific to lung cancer patients. A team of pulmonologists, surgeons, medical oncologists, pathologists, radiation oncologists, the lung cancer nurse navigator, nurses and other caregivers, meet to discuss patient care and determine the best course of treatment. The patient's primary care physician is also encouraged to attend.
