Emergency Department Wait Times

Wait times for Overlake's Emergency and Trauma Center are calculated based on the time it takes from your arrival until you are seen by our Triage Nurse for an evaluation. The average time until initial assessment is five minutes or less and the average time to see a doctor is 23 minutes. We display the wait time so you will have an idea of how long it will take for your initial evaluation. No two patients are alike, so the nature of your illness or injury and your medical history may affect your wait time.

Please note that patients who are victims of traumatic injuries or have life-threatening conditions are given priority, so your wait time could be affected by the number of patients in our Emergency and Trauma Center and the severity of their conditions.

The posted wait time is updated every 15 minutes.
