- Caring for older siblings.
- Cooking and doing housework.
Some people find it helps to hire a postpartum doula. Contact NAPS at 206-956-1955 for more information.
Help for Breastfeeding
During the first few weeks, your baby is growing, changing hour by hour, and day by day. His/her feeding patterns change too. We are here to help you all the way. Over 85 percent of Overlake’s new moms choose to breastfeed. Before birth, take a breastfeeding class. Register by calling 425-688-5259 or register online.
After birth, our trained Mother Baby nurses can give you all the help you need with breastfeeding. If you have special issues, your nurse may arrange for a lactation consultant to see you. After discharge, appointments with our Women’s Clinic lactation consultants can be made by calling 425-688-5389.
Please don’t hesitate to call if you are experiencing problems with breastfeeding. We are here to help!
