PDF Delivery is the delivery of fax-type data results to a designated network folder. It is best for practices wanting to remain on paper or practices wanting to attach results electronically to their exiting EHR patient chart.
PDF Delivery allows practices to automatically receive electronic results in PDF format for any procedures performed in the hospital where the practice provider is listed as an interested provider. Lab (general, blood bank, pathology, micro), radiology, transcription and cardiology results will be filed in a designated network folder (this can drop to the current Fax inbox, if desired), and can be named according to the patient’s name, test name, date, provider’s name or accession number to easily identify the file without having to open it.
Timeframe for Implementation
PDF Delivery is currently being offered and implemented. Implementation takes about two weeks from start to go-live.
Cost for Practice
- Laboratory (general, micro, pathology, blood bank)
- Radiology (Reports only)
- No login required and results are automatically pushed to a designated network folder or printer, as long as the provider is listed as an interested provider.
- File names that apply to the data within the file, therefore permitting quick ease in identification.
On-site training will be provided by Overlake.
In the third quarter of 2013, we expect to be able to flag and control sensitive/confidential data.
