Workplace Giving Campaigns
If your company has a workplace giving campaign, you can designate Overlake as your beneficiary. We'd be happy to come and present or set up an informational table during your giving campaign.
Company Matching Gifts
Some companies match their employees' charitable gifts. Be sure to ask your human resources department for information about your company's program.
Gifts of Appreciated Assets
Overlake accepts gifts of appreciated assets such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds or real estate. Provided you’ve owned such assets for over a year, transferring them directly to Overlake (rather than selling them) produces two distinct tax benefits: you receive a deduction for their full value and you avoid tax on any of the capital gain.
