Massage Therapist – Kirkland Primary Care
Part-Time / Day Shift
4 days per week – 6 hour shifts
Overlake Medical Clinics has an exciting part-time opportunity for a licensed Massage Therapist to join our Kirkland Primary Care Team! In this role, you will perform massage therapy techniques to control pain, reduce stress, and promote wellness. You will also assess any problems or conditions, and suggest appropriate massage techniques based on current health of patient.
Essential job responsibilities:
Confer with patients about their medical histories and problems with stress or pain to determine how massage will be most helpful. Develop and propose patient treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used.
Perform massage therapy and touch modalities, which include Deep Tissue, Sport, Swedish, Lymphatic, Prenatal, Myofascial Release, and Cranial Sacral Therapy. Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.
Provide patients with guidance and information about techniques for postural improvement, stretching, muscle health, and relaxation.
Complete patient notes, maintain accurate documentation each visit. Follow HIPAA compliance.
Consult with other health care professionals, such as physical therapists, physicians, chiropractors, and psychologists to assist developing treatment plans for patients.
Maintain the treatment rooms in a neat professional manner including stocking products and linens, cleaning and table sterilization.

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of accredited massage therapy program also required.
Professional Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure as a massage therapist in Washington State required. Must maintain license by completing education/training classes (CME) provided by a Certified Massage Therapy Institution. Current healthcare provider CPR also required.
Experience: One year previous massage experience required, with three years preferred.
Special Training/Skills: Ability to communicate well with others and to function as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a well-lit, climate controlled environment. Minimal potential for exposure to chemicals or fumes.
