Patient Care Technician/CNA - Perioperative Care Unit (0.6 FTE / Day/Eve)

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is currently seeking a Patient Care Technician/CNA for Perioperative Care Unit (PCU). This unit is responsible to prepare patients for surgical procedures.  Patient populations include Cardio/Thoracic, Gynecology/Oncology, Bariatric, Orthopedics, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular, and General Surgery.

This is a .6 FTE, 12-Hour, day shift position (48 hours in a two-week work schedule, with flexibility to work mid or evening shifts + 1 Sunday shift.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience
  • Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required
  • Medical Assistant Registration (MA-R) required post hire (Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure)
  • Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Certification (BLS) required
  • One year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred
  • Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
