I like Dr. Geltzer, and I feel like he's very knowledgeable. He doesn't coddle or dawdle and gets to the point. He's friendly but clinical, which is fine to me. His knowledge of my medical history seemed limited to his review of notes from my last visit (which was for a hernia), but I suppose that's a function of seeing a high volume of patients and not having much time for each interaction. Appreciated the very quick review of labs and MyChart notes with results.

Dr Allen Geltzner was an excellent doctor. He didn't push or Insist on any medications, advice or treatments to me. He listened patiently and made suggestions as what he believed would be my best course of action and left the decisions entirely to me. That is so refreshing.

Dr. Geltzer has provided good medical care to my well being.

I do not feel like I am heard by the doctor nor am I expected to par take.

Dr. Geltzer is up front and transparent about evaluation and health treatment. Very thorough and is willing to answer questions or concerns.

This was my first visit with Dr. Geltzer after many years with Dr. Enright. He was thoughtful, thorough, listened, was to the point, and had great bedside manner.

Dr. Geltzer was not interested in listening to what was going on. He was dismissive and condescending to the point that it interfered with his ability to gain the information to make informed care opinions.

I told him of some concerns I had (not related to this visit). He seemed uninterested. The appointment lasted less than 15 minutes and I left wondering why he had asked to see me.

Dr. Geltzer is the best!

Very disappointed in the lack of thoroughness-his notes reflect exams he never did. As a patient blessed with a history of competent physicians, I was struck by either lack of caring or knowledge. And as to documenting inaccurately, that is inexcusable. I will be requesting a change in physician assignment as I wish to stay with Overlake.

Dr. Geltzer is friendly but efficient and direct. He gives clear explanations. I think he's excellent, and would wholeheartedly recommend.

This is a personal perspective, but I felt the physician was condescending in how he spoke with me. "Do you use Qtips to clean your ear?" "Yes, but only on the outer parts of my ear. I do not dig deep""Never ever put anything in your ear smaller than your elbow". "Not even a Qtip or washcloth to clean the surrounding areas""Okay maybe, but never into your ear canal". I'm not a child. He could have been more helpful adult-to-adult when giving me guidance on how to keep my ear clean when season allergies cause build up in the ear on which I sleep.

Very straightforward with your health status, clear risk explanations and options. In my past serious problems, ie. DivertIculitis. Hernia, etc., he was spot on diagnosis and necessary urgency in getting the proper care. I trust his assessment and recommendations

Dr Geltzer is always a pleasure to visit. He listens, he advises and he explains. I feel he cares about my health and I enjoy his banter

He was rushed and it was visible. Never got to my second question.

He looked tired so very systematically which I did not mind.

Annual physical - seemed very rushed again this year. It is likely just the state of medicine in general the last 7-8 yrs, but GP's seem to pack in more appts and rush through them.

While this was a good experience, I rarely give recommendations to others about my experiences.to others.

Dr Geltzer was pleasant, efficient and brief. He seemed not interested in anything but my health review exam. He didn't ask how I was feeling or if I had any concerns. Seemed like he had to move quickly on to his next patient.

This was a pre surgical appointment and Dr. Geltzer was very through even to the point of redoing my earlier EKG.

While I do believe Dr Geltzer is an amazing physician, unfortunately I felt rushed as well as my concerns not really being addressed. In all honesty I felt the appointment was a waste of my time as well as his.

Doctor was very impatient and the whole visit was rushed. I expressed concern for my knee pain, and the only bit of helpful info he gave was a physical therapy referral. When I tried to ask more questions, his tone get more impatient and condescending.

We didn't discuss pros and cons of any treatment, because the conclusion was to wait and see.

An unusual, persistent problem and I was happy for the diagnosis and treatment plan.

*Dr. Geltzer is a super nice guy - I just feel like he's hurrying every visit - like he's late to see another patient. Is there a limit to the time he's allowed to spend with patients?

Appears uninterested, even bratty.

He listened to me yak, and I feel he has me going to the specialist I need.

Will never recommend or visit Dr Geltzer ever. He seemed to have a personal agenda about my care, had not reviewed any of my medical records prior to the exam. He was not interested in having a conversation about my past history current treatment plan or how I would like to be treated. I felt as if he had an agenda of how my medical care should go and was uninterested in my thoughts or opinion on my care. As a healthcare provider of over 30 years I feel that Dr Geltzer was the worst physician I have ever interacted with personally or in my work in emergency medicine!

Dr. Geltzer seems very capable, and knowledgeable. His visits feel somewhat rushed, presumably to maintain the flow of his practice.

Dr Geltzner for me was a disaster. I left the visit early as his condescending tone and horrible bedside manner were awful. I felt insulted and demeaned. Every subject from aspirin to fish oil to testosterone was a trip to hell. For me, his style is far to pompous and myopic, and I will never have anything to do with him again.
