Reviews
4.4 of 5 stars
197 Ratings, 32 ReviewsThe ratings and comments seen on provider profiles are gathered from patient surveys, which are conducted by an independent patient satisfaction organization called Press Ganey. Star ratings are only displayed for surveyed Overlake providers who have accumulated 30 or more survey responses in outpatient clinical settings. While we are committed to publishing both positive and negative comments, we also maintain a rigorous process to review and remove comments that are profane, libelous, unrelated to the provider, or violate patient privacy.

Doctor was very matter of fact and brief and on patient-assembly-line mode.

Doctor was going to get a follow-up liver function test done from the blood draw that had been done earlier in the week, but it's been a few weeks now and I've heard nothing further back. I think something has dropped between the cracks.

Will not be returning to this doctor. He doesn't listen, is dismissive and not open to suggestions/ alternatives for tests/treatment plan.

Steamroller. Only his opinion mattered

This was a better experience with the doctor than last year. He just doesn't seem very happy, so I think that is what I notice when I've been with him. My questions seem to pain him. I am thankful for his care and his expertise.

Doctor helpful and knowledgeable

Condition was resolving itself without need for treatment which is good.

He asked me questions and basically cut me off when I was answering him to ask another question, didnt feel as though he cared about my concerns. He hadn't read my chart thoroughly before I came in, so didn't know about my recent ER visit to Overlake, had to leave the room to go read it.

Provider was rude and impatient. Knowledgeable, but blunt and unkind. There was no grace for the learning curve that families go through when faced with sudden and critical illness. We left the clinic in tears.

My doctor was overly efficient when meeting with me. It seemed to me he was trying to set a record for the least amount of time actually spent talking to me. "Blah, blah, blah, any questions? Okay you're free to go..." The good part was that I met the free 1-hour parking limit. :-)

The provider was very unhappy as soon as we asked a question regarding the echocardiogram report. The doctor spoke yo us in an angry tone "The test was normal, period, do you have any other questions?!"
- 2 out of 5 starsReviewed on 8/12/2023
Very dismissive because I'm not sick enough. Inadequately addressed 2 separate problems with my heart.

No tests done in several years but report written up without a current base lined

I have a lot of confidence in my doctor. I believe he is very knowledgeable and stays up-to-date with the latest research. But I usually feel like our meetings are very rushed and he doesn't take the time to thoroughly explain his decisions. It is always like "this is what you should do because I say so". I feel that he is uncomfortable speaking to me as a patient and that at this point in his career, he is unlikely to change. I understand and will continue to see him because I trust him.

Doctor Perlmutter was great and listened to me. He explained things well and I felt a lot better when I left. Great doc!!

Dr was told many times that I do not hear very well yet he continued to mumble and talk very fast.
- 2 out of 5 starsReviewed on 6/13/2023
Doctor came across a little turt and somewhat rude and I am a new patient not the best bedside manner. I will continue with seeing him but in all my years of going to going to doctors with children and myself I have never run across this. Maybe he was having a bad day. My husband who was in the room also thought the same thing.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 6/13/2023
Dr. Perlmutter took the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. He provided easy to understand explanations and solutions.
