Overlake Medical Clinics Breast Surgery
With 30 years of combined experience, our two dedicated breast surgeons, Dr. Richard Clarfeld and Dr. Kristi Harrington, provide compassionate, individualized care to our patients. Patient education is an important part of our program so that women know the options and resources available to them. We believe this approach maximizes success and minimizes fears about living with and treating breast cancer.
In addition to our dedicated breast surgeons, the clinic team includes Mary "Muff" Heffernan, MN, ARNP, AOCNP, a board certified adult oncology nurse practitioner specializing in the treatment and prevention of breast diseases and cancer. She holds an affiliate faculty position at the University of Washington School of Nursing. She also facilitates the Overlake Breast Cancer Survivorship clinic, a clinic designed to address the unique needs of breast cancer survivors, and has expertise in development of patient educational materials.
In the March 2015 issue of ONS Connect, The Official News Magazine of the Oncology Nursing Society featured the Cancer Survivorship program Mary ‘Muff’ developed. Check it out!
The Breast Surgery team takes a multidisciplinary approach to its practice, working collaboratively with other Overlake staff, including medical oncologists, pathologists, breast radiologists, plastic surgeons, radiation oncologists, nurses, technicians and social workers.
The Breast Surgery Clinic is located in the Medical Office Tower on the Overlake campus, 1135 116th Ave. NE, Suite #180, Bellevue.
