Nationally Renowned Neuroscience and Spine Care on the Eastside

The Eastside Health Alliance joint venture was established in 2017 under a shared vision of integrating areas of expertise from Overlake Medical Center and EvergreenHealth in neurosciences and cardiology to provide a comprehensive, best-in-class level of care in each respective specialty for patients on the Eastside. 

Partnering across health systems, after formalizing the neuroscience partnership in 2019, the collaborative team of physicians and leaders developed a joint program under a new brand called the Eastside Neuroscience Institute.

“We are committed to offering easily accessible, leading-edge treatments with the absolute best patient experience. Our collective expertise, technology and resources have enabled us to do so,” says David Likosky, MD, medical director of the Eastside Neuroscience Institute. 

The multidisciplinary groups of providers, including neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons, neurologists, advanced-practice providers and neuropsychologists, work side-by-side to treat conditions impacting the spine, brain and entire nervous system. They are at the forefront of the most advanced technology and treatments—from the most common conditions to the most complex—for the full spectrum of neuroscience and spine care including:

• Multiple sclerosis/neuro-immunology.
• Degenerative/cognition disorders.
• Movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease.
• Epilepsy/neurodiagnostics.

The Institute is actively involved in many research studies and large national clinical trials. This means patients have access to promising new therapies before they are available at other hospitals.

The entire team, which spans locations in Bellevue and Kirkland, is committed to creating a seamless patient experience, with direct communication between patients and providers so patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options and next steps.
