Dr. Serrano was awesome. He was super attentive, explained everything very thoroughly and answered all of my many questions. I really felt like he cared about me and my treatment. All of that goes for his nurse, Dustin, as well!

Dr. Serrano is great. He is a good listener, uses important skills of reflecting back what he heard me say, and making space for my questions and emotions (I'm a psychotherapist, so am tuned into communication skills).

Dr. Serrano let me ask any question that I wanted. He then he paused while I made notes regarding his answers before moving forward again. He took time to make sure that I understood what was going to happen and the timeline for the Radiation. Dr. Serrano did not rush me. I knew he wanted me to make informed choices.

Dr. Serrano has a gift for telling his patients everything while being very reassuring. From the first time I saw him, he informed me of all risks in a very caring manner. I knew that the condition I had could have a bad outcome, but I knew that he would be completely honest with me and knew exactly what to do. I have never had occasion to revise that opinion.
