Your Room, Meals and More

During Labor & Delivery

Your Labor & Delivery suite is equipped to help you feel as comfortable as possible, and our skilled nursing staff is there to support you throughout your delivery.

During labor and birth, you’ll have access to one of our private Labor & Delivery suites. Each suite includes:

• A special birthing bed.
• Tub and shower.
• Birth ball.
• Flat-screen TV and educational videos.
• Free wireless internet (throughout the entire Childbirth Center).

Surgical suites specially equipped for cesarean or high-risk vaginal births are located within the Labor & Delivery unit. 

During Recovery

After birth, you will stay with your baby overnight. As you recover, you’ll enjoy a private room in our Postpartum Unit until you are discharged from the hospital. 

Your baby will stay in the room with you at all times so you and your growing family have the chance to get to know each other before going home. Your birth partner may also stay overnight if desired, before and/or after the birth.

Bed Rest Rooms

In some cases, women at high risk of preterm birth need medically supervised bed rest. The Childbirth Center includes a dedicated area for these parents. Our bed rest rooms offer a peaceful environment with the amenities needed for a longer hospital stay.

Meals

All of your meals will be provided. Overlake offers dining room service during your stay, which includes vegetarian and gluten-free options. Your nurse will provide information about placing meal requests for you and your partner.
