Overlake Internal Medicine Associates (OIMA) Primary Care and Sleep Medicine practices have joined Overlake Clinics. The name of the OIMA Primary Care clinic will change to Overlake Clinics – Internal Medicine Associates, and the Overlake Sleep Disorders Center will become Overlake Clinics – Sleep Medicine.

This new primary care addition to Overlake Clinics is easily accessible, in downtown Bellevue, right off of Interstate 405 at 1407 116th Ave NE, Suite 200. Overlake Clinics – Sleep Medicine is nearby, at 1100 112th Ave NE in Bellevue.

Aligning with Overlake allows patients to access a network of specialty providers and services, providing even more integrated and comprehensive care. OIMA opened in 1956 and was fully accredited as a sleep center by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, since June 2007. It is the largest accredited sleep center east of Seattle.

Overlake Clinics – Sleep Medicine is dedicated to patients who are experiencing changes in their sleep patterns—a considerable health concern for many Americans. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, researchers estimate that between 50 and 70 million people in the U.S. suffer from some type of sleep or wakefulness disorder. These Overlake providers treat patients with sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, snoring, sleep walking/talking, restless legs syndrome and other concerns.

Providers involved in this acquisition have a long-standing relationship with Overlake Medical Center & Clinics. “With the addition of OIMA, we have diversified our portfolio of patient options for specialty care, specifically sleep medicine through Overlake Clinics. We are delighted to expand our access and options for our patients when it comes to their primary care needs as well,” said Kelan Koenig, MD and Overlake Clinics Chief Physician Executive.

“Overlake Clinics Sleep Medicine is the largest full service sleep disorders center on the eastside. The merger with Overlake will allow for more streamlined management of patients with sleep disorders, in both the inpatient and outpatient arena. As a member of the OMC medical staff for 23 years, I am delighted to have Overlake Sleep Disorders center become a formal component of the Overlake Hospital system,” said Scott Bonvallet, MD, Overlake Clinics Sleep Medicine and pulmonary/critical care specialist at Overlake Medical Center.

The following providers will join Overlake Clinics in their respective specialties:

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is dedicated to continuing to provide the high-quality care our patients have come to count on.
