KOMO TV's Abby Acone requested input from Todd Freudenberger, MD, specializing in critical care and pulmonology at Overlake, about his thoughts on wildfire smoke worsening symptoms of COVID-19 for those infected.

That said, I wonder if patients with chronic lung conditions triggered by air pollution will actually stay inside more so as not to suffer increased breathing difficulty, which simultaneously may decrease the frequency of exposure to others and therefore transmission of the virus-just a thought," Freudenberger said."
