In The News: Will Puget Sound's seasonal wildfires worsen COVID-19?

KOMO TV's Abby Acone requested input from Todd Freudenberger, MD, specializing in critical care and pulmonology at Overlake, about his thoughts on wildfire smoke worsening symptoms of COVID-19 for those infected. 

From the article, ""COPD, like hypertension, diabetes, and obesity, is a reported risk factor for more severe infection in patients that have COVID-19. That said, I wonder if patients with chronic lung conditions triggered by air pollution will actually stay inside more so as not to suffer increased breathing difficulty, which simultaneously may decrease the frequency of exposure to others and therefore transmission of the virus-just a thought," Freudenberger said."
