The Puget Sound Business Journal has honored COVID-19 front line workers for their incredible work during the pandemic.

From the article, "Janitorial – Imelda Marquez, lead housekeeper at Overlake Medical Center

Imelda Marquez has worked at Overlake Medical Center for almost 10 years. Shortly after Covid-19 hit the region, she was asked by her supervisors if she would be willing to clean Covid treatment areas and immediately said yes. “If it’s dirty, I clean it,” Marquez said. “We have all been through swine flu and regular flu, I don’t care. it’s my job to clean, I clean it.” Marquez is the lead on day shift and mainly works weekends. “We follow the procedure, and we will be safe,” she said. “It’s not about the Covid, it’s about the patients.”
