As wildfire season in Washington state ramps up, KOMO 4's Nick Popham spoke with Amy Markezich, MD, about the health risks tied to wildfire smoke exposure and how to best protect yourself.

From the story: "I think this is going to be a very long, poor air quality, summer," said Dr. Amy Markezich. "Having a filtration systems is incredibly helpful when the smoke arrives but if you don't have that to keep windows and doors closed to keep the bad air outside."
