Lisa Levinson, RN, CDE, shared expert insight to debunk some common misperceptions surrounding diabetes and diet on the Hot Stove Radio, hosted by renowned chefs Tom Douglas and Thierry Rautureau. 

“The holidays are coming up, if you’re doing events or if you’re going to be eating something a little carb-heavier, you can still do it, just be a little more strategic about it," Levinson said. “It doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re doing a run in the middle of the night, you can do some light housekeeping, just something to physically move can really help to lessen those [blood glucose] numbers in response to food.”
