In the News: Black women face higher risk of dying from breast cancer, experts say

Overlake Cancer Center’s Eileen Consorti, MD, MS, Stephen Lemon, MD, and Terren Rodriguez shared their expertise on FOX 13, discussing the health disparities among Black women, who face a much higher risk of mortality from breast cancer and an increased risk of developing a more aggressive form of breast cancer.

To help tell this story, a patient candidly shared the story of her battle with cancer and the impact the disease has had not only on herself, but her family as well.
