Pamela Paley, MD, a gynecologic cancer surgeon at the Overlake Cancer Center, joined FOX 13's Good Day Seattle to speak on new statistics by the American Cancer Society that reflect a spike in numbers of cervical cancer cases among patients in their 30s and 40s, despite cases continually decreasing overall.

Dr. Paley presented some hypotheses on why this particular age group is seeing a rise in cases, as well as the importance of regular screening.
