Seen on KING5 New Day NW: Managing Mental Health Disorders at Overlake
During the dark fall and winter months and even throughout the year, many individuals experience deep depression that often brings fatigue, changes in sleep and appetite, and feelings of hopelessness. These symptoms can intensify with holiday stress and isolation.
Many people coping with mental health challenges turn to alcohol or other substances for relief, but this can worsen symptoms and lead to dependency. Overlake Medical Center & Clinics offers both inpatient and intensive outpatient programs to treat both mental health and substance-use disorders — an essential step toward lasting recovery.
Treatment options include outpatient care through our Adult Partial Hospitalization Program, offering structured therapy and medication management; or inpatient care in Overlake's Behavioral Health Unit for those in crisis. Both programs are voluntary and designed to stabilize patients and build coping skills.
