Newsweek Names Overlake a Top Hospital in US for Neurological and Orthopedic Care

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Overlake Medical Center & Clinics has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Hospitals for Specialized Care 2026, earning national recognition for excellence in neurological and orthopedic care.

The annual rankings, presented by Newsweek in partnership with Statista Inc., a leading global statistics and industry ranking provider, highlight top hospitals across seven specialties: cancer, cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, endocrine, pulmonary and gastrointestinal care.

“Being recognized by Newsweek for both neurological and orthopedic care is a powerful testament to the remarkable skill, compassion and dedication of our teams,” said Jon Duarte, president and CEO of Overlake Medical Center & Clinics. “This distinction underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional care and improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve.”

The rankings are based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes:

  • Hospital quality metrics, with a focus on specialty-specific outcomes and accreditations.
  • A nationwide survey of tens of thousands of medical experts, including physicians, hospital leaders and health care professionals.
  • Patient experience data, drawn from publicly available Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) surveys.
  • Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs), gathered through Statista’s annual implementation survey.
