Bellevue, Wash. – Two of our region’s business leaders will come together Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, to discuss a “prescription for the Eastside’s global business edge” at Overlake Medical Center’s annual Community Partners Luncheon.

Phyllis Campbell, JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s chairman for the Pacific Northwest, and Kemper Freeman, Jr., Chairman and CEO of the Kemper Development Company, will sit down with Puget Sound Business Journal columnist Patti Payne for a moderated discussion about the continued development and impressive growth of the Eastside.

Each year, more than 700 businesses and community leaders come together to celebrate the important role Overlake plays in ensuring the health and wellness of the Eastside community. Monday’s luncheon and moderated discussion will celebrate the medical center’s work both caring for the Eastside’s residents and contributing to the area’s growth and development. The discussion will explore the topic from a variety of angles, addressing questions such as “What did investors see here that caused them to re-invest?” and “What will it take for the Eastside to continue to support and attract the kind of global companies that will continue to fuel the economy moving forward?”

Proceeds from the luncheon go to Overlake’s Ensuring Excellence Fund, which supports a constellation of programs committed to providing patients with the highest caliber of care through the use of the latest technologies. This is the 15th annual event highlighting Overlake’s role in promoting the health and economic vitality of the Eastside.

Note: Both Phyllis and Kemper will be available for interviews with media prior to the program.
