Bellevue, Wash. – Overlake Medical Center is pleased to announce the launch of the Overlake Neuroscience Institute, an innovative center designed to streamline care and improve services for patients.

“This move puts the patient front and center. We will be able to provide diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for a range of diseases of the brain and spine under a single roof,” said Abhineet Chowdhary, MD, who will serve as the Institute’s medical director. “It's a challenge dealing with serious neurological issues, and our goal is to make process of diagnosis and treatment as seamless as possible.”

The Overlake Neuroscience Institute combines the Overlake Neurology and Neurosurgery clinics.

Prior to the move, Neurology was located in the Overlake Medical Tower (OMT), with Neurosurgery was across the street in the Overlake Medical Pavilion. The new Institute opens today in a 7,000-plus-square-foot space in OMT, Floor 5, Suite 500.

The new Institute will also participate in a number of clinical trials, with the potential to provide patient access to innovative therapy before it becomes widely available.
