Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is proud to share that it has been recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the “Great hospitals in America” for 2023.

According to Becker’s, hospitals receiving this acknowledgement are “renowned for clinical excellence, patient safety, innovation efforts, research and education, patient satisfaction and more.” Hospitals on this list have also been noted for leadership qualities and excellence in several specialties by top ranking and award agencies like U.S. News & World Report, Healthgrades and The Leapfrog Group—all of which have recently recognized Overlake, as well as its various services and programs.

“Receiving this recognition is not reflective of just one individual, but rather the actions of Overlake’s more than 3,400 employees and over 1,000 providers who show up to work every day in order to provide the highest quality and safest care for patients and our community,” said David Knoepfler, MD, Overlake chief medical officer.  “This is a wonderful honor, and it is with great pride that I have the opportunity to be a part of such an incredible and talented team that strives every day to provide superior and compassionate care for every life we touch.”

Becker’s recently named Overlake as one of the top 150 places to work in healthcare in 2023, and earlier this year, Overlake was ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top hospitals in Washington state and listed as “high performing” in 13 different procedures and conditions. Overlake Medical Center also received its 19th “A” hospital safety grade by The Leapfrog Group this spring.

“Here at Overlake, we are about excellence, and it shines through in our staff’s commitment to our values, providing the best possible care for our patients and lifting each other up to grow and prosper,” said Lisa Morten, Overlake chief people officer. “It is so wonderful to know that our collective efforts and ingenuity are being recognized, and we hope to use this as a springboard in our evolution of being a healthcare workplace of choice.”
