James Boswell, MD, Appointed President of Overlake Clinics (Medical Group)

We are pleased to share that James (Jamie) Boswell, MD, has been appointed president of Overlake Clinics (Medical Group), effective March 23, 2026.

A board certified hospitalist, Dr. Boswell has been an integral member of Overlake’s medical staff since 2005. During his more than two decades with the organization, he has held several key leadership roles, including medical director of Overlake Hospitalists and chair of the Department of Medicine. He has also contributed extensively through service on multiple physician governance and practice committees and currently serves as Overlake’s chief of staff.

Dr. Boswell will serve as a key member of Overlake’s executive leadership team, championing exceptional patient care, uncompromising quality and the highest standards of safety for Overlake patients.

Dr. Boswell earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed his internship and residency at Oregon Health & Sciences University. He holds an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and completed a post baccalaureate premedical program at Harvard University.

In addition to his leadership responsibilities, Dr. Boswell will continue to practice as a hospitalist.
