    Adult Psychiatry Services

At Overlake, our patients’ needs determine the programs we offer. Whether a patient needs a day program, inpatient hospitalization or other treatment, our professional multidisciplinary care is given with compassion and deep concern. These are the foundation of everything we do.

Giving patients the least restrictive level of care is always our goal, too. The focus of each treatment plan is the person and we use a holistic approach to include family, school/occupation, outpatient providers and the community.

    Adult Inpatient Hospitalization Program

This program meets the needs of adult patients who have a diagnosis from one of the major psychiatric treatment categories. Treatment is focused on one or two high priority clinical problems, and patients receive individualized evaluation and treatment from our multidisciplinary team.

    Adult Day Hospital Program

The goal of the program is to rapidly stabilize patients, to resolve crises and to develop solutions to life problems. Drug and alcohol assessments are available as needed. Learn more >

    Adult Medication Management

This elective service provides an appointment when it’s needed. We offer this service to help patients bridge the gap between hospital visits and/or lengthy waits for outpatient psychiatric appointments.

    Electroconvulsive Therapy

Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) is done on an outpatient basis and is scheduled Monday through Friday at 2pm. This treatment is generally given three times per week for a course of three weeks. This therapy remains one of the most effective therapies for the treatment of depression when other types of therapy and medicine have not been successful.
